United Nations: The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) has adopted a resolution demanding Israel end its unlawful presence in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT) within a year.

The UNGA resolution, supported by 124 member states, with 43 abstentions and 14 votes against, calls on Israel to comply with its legal obligations, including those outlined by the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

The resolution urges member states to take concrete actions, such as halting the import of products from Israeli settlements and stopping the transfer of arms and equipment to Israel when there are reasonable grounds to suspect they may be used in the OPT.

Additionally, the resolution requests Switzerland convene a Conference of High Contracting Parties to the Fourth Geneva Convention within six months and calls for an international conference during the 79th General Assembly session to focus on implementing UN resolutions related to Palestine and advancing the two-state solution.
