The report analyzes the challenges and opportunities that exist in the pursuit of the data revolution globally. It also considers the specific cases of two developing countries—Laos and Myanmar—in the broader context of what will be needed to enable “leapfrog” data technologies to take hold and ultimately drive the data revolution without following the linear progression of development laid out by OECD countries.

Speakers will consider how the international development community and the private sector are supporting data innovations in support of the SDGs, and the challenges and opportunities involved in these efforts.
